Dr. Baihua Fu

Dr Baihua Fu is an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the iCAM (Integrated Catchment Assessment and Management) group at the Fenner School of Environment & Society. She has a background in environmental science, sediment tracing and erosion modelling. During her postdoctoral fellowship with the NCGRT (the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training), she expanded her expertise to hydro-ecological modelling, integrated assessment and uncertainty assessment of environmental models. Dr Fu has 10 years of experience working with Australian government agencies in Qld, NSW, WA and NT to develop environmental models and decision support systems, particularly in water quality and ecological modelling. Dr Fu’s current research focuses on the challenges of developing and improving environmental models to support management and decision making. Her current projects include: developing a hybrid catchment-scale water quality model to support catchment management in Australia. sensitivity and uncertainty assessment of the Great Barrier Reef Source Catchment Models to inform model improvement. Dr Fu currently serves as a manuscript editor of the Environmental Modelling & Software journal.
