Furneaux Group Myrtaceae Pollen Image Collection and Measurement Data

We examined the pollen morphology of 23 Myrtaceae taxa from the Furneaux Island Group, Tasmania. Three-four herbarium flower specimens were collected of each species from the Australian National Herbarium and processed using standard techniques (Faegri and Iversen, 1975). At least 20 pollen grains from each sample were photographed and measured as soon as possible after chemical treatment. Faegri, K., Iversen, J., 1975. Textbook of Pollen Analysis. Hafner Press, New York. 295p. This research was made possible through an Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage support grant (CE170100015)
