Dr. Sally Brockwell

My doctoral research was on earth mound sites on the Adelaide River in the Northern Territory. Currently I am involved in several multi-disciplinary collaborative projects: Mounds of the Murray River with Dr Colin Pardoe (ANU), ARC Linkage, Heritage of the Air, led by University of Canberra, and the Anbarra Project analysing shell midden sites at the Blyth River in central Arnhem Land with colleague Dr Betty Meehan. I am currently writing up results from previous projects: ARC Linkage led by Macquarie University with Partner Organization Rio Tinto Alcan, investigating earth mounds at Weipa with ANU colleague Dr Janelle Stevenson; ARC Linkage with Kakadu National Park, From Prehistory to History: Landscape and Cultural Change on the South Alligator River, Kakadu National Park with ANU colleagues Dr Janelle Stevenson, Dr Ulrike Proske and Dr Robert Levitus; ARC Discovery, Earth Mounds in Northern Australia: Archaeological and Environmental Archives of the Mid to Late Holocene; and Climate Change and Human Behavioural Variability in the Coastal Wet-Dry Tropics of Northern Australia with colleagues Dr Patricia Bourke (ANU), Dr Patrick Faulkner (University of Sydney) and Dr Richard Willan (Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory)
